Volunteer Involvement Opportunities
The Family Crisis Center, Inc. seeks volunteers who are dedicated to meeting the emotional, educational, and safety needs of adults and their children who have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence. Apply today.
In the office:
- Answer phones & hotline calls
- Clerical work – typing, filing, etc.
- Transport clients to shelter
- Help pick up donations
- Inventory donations
At the Shelter:
- Assess shelter residents
- Provide peer support to clients
- Provide transportation to clients shelter
- Clerical & maintenance duties
- Cover shifts after training & experience
(must be available for entire shift)
Children’s Program:
- Child care
- Tutoring children
- Plan and/or assist with events, field trips, structured activities
- Plan/assist with arts/crafts for women and children
- Clerical duties
Outreach Program:
- Assist with health fairs
- Assist with home visits
- Assist with creating presentations
- Assist with presentations in schools & civic organizations
Misc. Duties:
- Fundraising: selling tickets, general planning for fundraisers, decorate for fundraisers
- Assist with conference & training preparations
- Assist with special projects
